What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Samantha Yip conducted an unannounced subsequent complaint investigation. LPA met with Director Rachel Ratliff and explained the reason for the inspection. Present during today's inspection were 38 children and at least 5 staff. During the course of this investigation, LPA conducted interviews with staff, children, and third party. LPA also reviewed parent handbook, employee handbook, parent agreement, In-Service Training for Staff 2022-2023, and other relevant documents. LPA also conducted observation and inspected the inside and outside of the facility. Based on the information obtained, the above allegation is found to be UNSUBSTANTIATED, meaning although, the above allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur. No deficiencies were cited as a result of this inspection. Exit interview conducted and report was discussed and provided to Director Rachel Ratliff. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.

The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors.This requirement is not met as evident by: Based on observation, LPA observed that two of the parking concrete blocks had metal bars that were exposed and sharp, which poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care.
