Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

[Page 2] Based on staff interviews, the facility is cleaned daily and as frequently as needed. The surfaces and floors are wiped every day during and after operating hours as needed. During today’s inspection, LPA observed that the floors and surfaces of the facility were clean. Staff stated that the cleaning supplies are stored under the kitchen cabinet. No cleaning supplies were accessible to children during today’s inspection. Licensee was reminded that cleaning supplies must be locked to keep them inaccessible to children. Staff stated that children are provided with breakfast, lunch, a small dinner, and snacks. Food items are checked every day before preparing meals. If any food is out of date, they get rid of it. Staff also stated that foods are bought weekly, sometimes daily and based on need. Pertaining to allegation #2, all interviews conducted with staff and parents determined that all staff and parents denied observing or having knowledge of an unfingerprinted adult interacting with children. Based on staff interviews, all adults living in the house are background cleared. Licensee stated that the adults living in the house are the Licensee and one other background cleared adult. Licensee stated all other adults who frequently visit the home are background cleared. According to parent interviews, the Licensee communicates with parents if there are any new staff working at the facility. Based on interviews conducted and records reviewed, there is insufficient evidence at this time to support the allegations. This agency has investigated the complaint alleging that 1) the facility is not kept clean and orderly, and 2) unfingerprinted adult is interacting with children. Although the allegations may have occurred or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur. Therefore, the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED . No deficiencies were cited during today’s investigation. Appeal rights were provided. An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with the Licensee, Eileen Advincula. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
