What the inspector wrote

This report is an annual continuation inspection, dated from 2/6/2025. LPA reviewed a selection of six (6) children's file and observed that parent's rights forms, immunization records forms, consents for emergency medical treatment forms, and Identification forms are in each file. LPA observed 15-minute sleep logs for the infants in care. Incidental Medical services (IMS) policy was discussed. Licensee does not handle any medications. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual \342\200\223 Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417 and PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. The following information regarding ADA was provided: US Department of Justice (USDOJ) toll-free ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301 (voice)/ (800)514-0383 (TTY) and link to publication: Commonly Asked Questions about Child Care Centers and the ADA, available at: http://www.ada.gov/childqanda.htm . Licensee will review IMS plan and submit to CCL in the later future; Licensee stated there are no children currently needing medication. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep . LPA reminded Licensee about Individualized Infant sleep plan (Lic9227) and 15-minute sleep logs that should be conducted from 0 months to 12 months (1 year). After the child turns 1 years old, only 15- minute sleep logs shall to be conducted until the child is 2 years old. as an additional resource. LPA also informed Licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Continue on Lic809-C page 4... Supervision of children was discussed with licensee, and she understands that she must be present in the home during day care hours and ensure that the children are always supervised. Licensee understands her capacity options and she understand that she cannot have more than 14 children in the home at any time. Licensee understands if she transports children via vehicle, children cannot be left in parked vehicles unattended at any time. Licensee stated she does not transport any children to and from day care. LPA encouraged the Licensee to frequently visit our website at www.ccld.ca.gov for licensing regulations and new updates. The Licensee can also email at childcareadvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov and ask to be added to the email list for the updates. LPA discussed the requirements of AB 633 with the Licensee and understands the AB 633 fact sheet/copy of Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Reports (LIC 9224). LPA discussed "zero tolerance" related regulations and advised that the assessment of an immediate $500 per day civil penalty for any violation of a "zero tolerance" related regulation. An ongoing civil penalty of $100 per day continues until the violation(s) is corrected. The licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. No citations were issued on today's inspection. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted with Licensee, and a copy of this review was reviewed and provided.
