What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Syeda Bahar and Mandeep Kaur, conducted an unannounced case management inspection to discuss a Water lead testing requirements at the center. LPAs met with Director, Ivania Rodas and explained the purpose for the inspection. During the inspection on 05/14/2025, Director stated that maintenance supervisor stated that building is cleared of lead testing. Facility has not been able to provide the proof of the lead testing results with required documents to the department. LPAs discussed the Assemble Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018 with Director. Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. LPAs referred Director to the Department website for lead: Lead Toxicity Prevention and Water Testing Informati on. During today's inspection, a Type B citation is issued on attached 809-D. Appeal rights provided. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Ivania Rodas. A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS GIVEN AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.
