What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Marilou Monico, conducted a Case Management Inspection in response to Licensee's request to change the capacity from 36 to 60 children and adding Rooms 1 and 28 on the existing license. LPA met with Director of Facilities and Operations, Caroline Gupta. LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas. The following indoor measurements were taken by LPA Monico on 02/13/25: Rooms 30 & 31 = 1,826.37 minus 313.49 (encumbered space) = 1,512.88 Measurements taken today: Room 1 = 36.75 x 32.08 = 1,178.94 minus 153.64 (encumbered space) = 1,025.3 Room 28 = 37.00 x 22.83 = 844.71 minus 97.28 (encumbered space) = 747.43 TOTAL PRESCHOOL INDOOR SPACE: 3,285.61 (1,512.88+1,025.3+747.43) divided by 35 = 93 children The outdoor measurements were taken by LPA Kaur on 12/19/23. The outdoor total measurements contain a total of {6114.99} square feet which will accommodate licensee's request for 60 children. There are 4 toilets (60) and 7 sinks (105) for the children. There are two staff bathrooms in the Staff Lounge. The sick children will be isolated in the Nurse's Office located in the Admin Office and will be accompanied by a qualified teacher. The sick children will use one of the bathrooms adjacent to the Nurse's Office. Cleaning supplies are stored inaccessible to children. LPA observed required size fire extinguisher in the classrooms, functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. There are also trash cans with tight fitting lids for the disposal of solid wastes. LPA observed 85 cubbies, 22 tables, 84 chairs, and 43 cots for the daycare children. Some of the children will be attending on a part-time basis and will not nap at the center. Continuation on next page: Fire clearance was granted on June 24, 2025. The following items must be submitted to Licensing prior to licensure of 60 preschool children: 1) Paperwork for Licensee Representative, Sara Spiegel: proof of completion in Application and Operations/Record Keeping Orientation 2) Designation of Facility Responsibility (LIC 308) with original signature of Licensee Representative 3) Updated Personnel Report (LIC 500), Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC 610), and facility sketch 4) Application for a Child Care Center License (LIC 200A) with Licensee Representative original signature Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director of Facilities and Operations, Caroline Gupta. There were no deficiencies cited. A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.
