What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Marilou Monico, conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection in response to Licensee's request to reduce the capacity from 60 to 43 children, removal of Rooms 1 & 28, and Discovery Garden Yard on the existing license. LPA met with Director of Facilities and Operations, Caroline Gupta. LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas and census was taken. Preschool Classroom measurements taken by LPA Monico on 02/13/25 : The Indoor total measurements contain a total of {1512.88} square feet, which will accommodate Licensee's request for 43 preschool children. Preschool Outdoor Play measurements taken by LPA Kaur on 12/19/23: Outdoor total measurements contain a total of {6114.99) square feet, which will accommodate Licensee's request for 43 preschool children. Room 31/Nap Room was not measured as it is only utilize as napping area for the children. There are 3 toilets (45) and 4 sinks (60) for the children. There are two staff bathrooms in the Staff Lounge. The Nurse's Office located in the Admin Office will be used as isolation area for sick children. The sick children will use one of the bathrooms adjacent to the Nurse's Office. The rooms have comfortable temperature for children. Furniture and equipment were observed to be maintained in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. LPA observed a required size fire extinguisher and functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. There are trash cans with tight fitting covers for the disposal of solid wastes. LPA observed 16 tables, 54 chairs, 20 bunk beds with cots, 8 mats, 17 cots, and 105 cubbies. Continuation on next page: Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director of Facilities and Operations, Caroline Gupta. Appeal rights were provided to Caroline. A license for 43 children is granted effective today, March 5, 2026. There were no deficiencies cited. A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.
