It was alleged that, Facility staff ridiculed/taunted child in care. Based on interviews conducted with staff and children, LPA was informed that staff do not use the vacuum because staff will sweep and mop because there is no janitor; LPA was also informed that the vacuum does not work. Staff mentioned to LPA that the center will use a carpet shampooer after all children are signed out for the day. Staff 1 (S1) stated in July 2024, was the last time she used the carpet shampooer. During interviews with children, the children informed LPA that they have not seen a vacuum being used at the center. LPA toured the center and observed a grey vacuum inside a bin buried beneath other items located in the laundry room. Based on interviews, and observation, and evidence gathered during the course of the investigation, it is concluded that although the allegation noted on this complaint may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the alleged violation did or did not occur. The above allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED . A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted with Licensee, and this report reviewed and provided.
