What the inspector wrote

It was alleged director is rude and unprofessional with both children and parents. On 01/21/2026, LPA attempted to interview 5 children and 3 agreed to be interviewed. 3 out of 3 children knew who the director was and stated they liked her. 4 out of 4 parents have known Vanessa since she was a teacher for the school and stated she was helpful, patient, and kind. 3 out of 4 staff stated she is kind and treats everyone fairly. It was alleged staff do not adequately supervise day care children in care in the after school program and allowed children to remain in the office unsupervised. On 02/06/2026, LPA attempted to interview 4 children and 3 agreed to be interviewed. During the interview, all 3 children stated that they walk from their elementary school to the facility with Staff (S1) or Site Director, Vanessa and do not see anyone in the office. During staff interviews, one of 4 staff stated they see children in Vanessa's office with her while she is working. The reporting parties did not provide additional information regarding dates and times of the alleged incidents. During this investigation, LPA interviewed director, staff, children and parents and reviewed relevant records. Although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED. There were no deficiencies cited. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Site Director, Vanessa Chavira-Manrique. Copy of appeal rights was provided to Site Director, Vanessa Chavira-Manrique. A Notice of Site Visit was issued and must remain posted for 30 days.
