What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Anna Morales conducted an unannounced case management \342\200\223 licensee initiated for capacity increase. LPA met with the licensee's, spouse Allen Abesamis and explained the purpose of the inspection. Present were seven preschool aged children in care. Mr. Abesamis stated that Licensee Monica Abesamis was with en route to the day care. The licensee submitted the application form (LIC 279) to apply for change of capacity from a small family day care (8) to a large family day care(14). The licensee\342\200\231s small child care family home license was issued on 8/5/2022. Licensee's husband stated that the he, and the licensee Monica Abesamis(wife) are the only adults residing at the home. Operating hours for the facility are from 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. LPA observed a current Children's current roster. LPA observed that required postings were posted. LPA, along with the licensee's husband toured the inside and outside of the home. LPA observed that there were age appropriate toys and furniture. LPA observed cots for the children's use. LPA was informed that they have a portable crib available if necessary. The fire clearance was granted on 7/9/24 for large family child care home license. Off limits areas in the home are Three (3) Bedrooms, kitchen and garage area. The home has a fully fenced backyard for outdoor activity. Off-limit area in back yard the sides of house, the outdoor accessory unit (small structure) and storage unit. LPA observed appropriate children\342\200\231s play structure and toys. No bodies of water observed. LPA observed a charged fire extinguisher, smoke detectors(interconnected) and a carbon monoxide detector. No deficiencies were cited. LPA advised the licensee's spouse that a license for capacity increase will be approved upon management review. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Allen Abesamis. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
