What Happened
Annual random inspection identified multiple compliance issues including pool safety equipment failing to meet ASTM standards, fire extinguisher overdue for annual service, and missing staff certifications.
Observations
- In-ground swimming pool with 5-foot mesh fence enclosure
- Pool fence vertical clearance less than 2 inches from ground, no gaps allowing 4-inch sphere passage
- Access gate self-closes with latch no more than 6 inches from top
- Life ring (17-inch diameter, US Coast Guard approved) present
- Rescue pole (12-foot minimum with body hook) present
- Daily inspection log for pool safety features maintained
- Pool alarm installed on access gate does NOT meet ASTM F2208 International Standard
- Pool cover not power or manually operated and does NOT meet ASTM F1346-23 Standard
- LPA instructed licensees to have either cover or alarm meeting ASTM standards
- Fire extinguisher (3A40BC) not serviced since 06/02/2023 - overdue for annual service
- Both licensees lack current Mandated Reporter Training
- Facility has no liability insurance - Affidavit Regarding Liability Insurance (LIC 282) issued
