What the inspector wrote

On 08/15/2024 at 12:00pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christina Uribe conducted an unannounced Case Management visit for the purpose of a change of capacity. LPA Uribe met with licensee, Lina Reynoso. Present for the inspection were 4 daycare children and 1 fingerprint cleared assistant (Mery Amezquita) and 1 fingerprint cleared adult resident, licensee's husband. Licensee's husband assisted with translation between the LPA and licensee. All documents have been received for the increase of capacity application. The fire clearance for a capacity of 14 children was sent to the Mountain View Fire Department (MVFD) on 06/18/2024. An inspection of the Family Child Care Home was performed by a MVFD inspector on 07/02/2024 and the home was granted the fire clearance. The licensee was reminded to abide by the conditions of the fire clearance which restricts the use of the garage to children in care. The licensee was reminded that an assistant must be present at all times when there is more than 8 children in attendance. Whenever the assistant is not present, the licensee will comply with the capacity requirements for a small family child care home. As of today, 08/15/2024, licensee has not obtained a signed Property Owner/Landlord Consent (LIC 9149) form and is only permitted to operate at a capacity of 12 children. Capacity requirements for a large family child care home license of 12 children is no more than 4 infants (birth to 24 months) and 8 older children over the age of 2 years. Licensee is required to obtain a signed Property Owner/Landlord Consent (LIC 9149) form in order to operate with a capacity of 14 children. The home is recommended for a change of capacity to an increase of 12 children and will go effective today, 08/15/2024. A notice of site visit of given was given and must be posted for 30 days. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Lina Reynoso.
