What the inspector wrote

On 5/26/2026 at 9 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Manel Estoesta conducted a Case Management visit. LPA met with the Director, Chitra Bharadwaj, and explained the nature of the visit. Present on this visit were 23 Staff Members, 10 toddlers and 150 preschool children. The facility operates from Monday to Friday 8 am to 6 pm. During the visit, LPA reviewed facility records, collected copies of facility records, and LPA conducted staff interviews. Based on LPA’s staff interviews, that on 5/20/2026, C1 was left in the children’s restroom, unsupervised, for approximately less than a minute, between 10:50 am to 10:55 am. S1 saw C1 in the hallway approximately at 10:55 am and brought her back to C1’s classroom. The licensee was in violation of the section 101229 (a)(1) No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time… . LPA Estoesta informed the Director that this report dated today has a Type B citation which maybe and can be posted for 30 consecutive days as there is a potential risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, Chitra Bharadwaj.
