What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Elizabeth Larios and Licensing Program Manager (LPM), Susy Cervantes met with Program Director, Patricia Pastor, for a Case Management inspection in response to licensee's request for a change of classroom and to measure a new portable. LPA & LPM toured the facility both indoor and outdoor as well as measured the indoor space available for the children. Indoor measurements are as follows: Portable: 39.25 x 23 = 902.75 minus 32.16 (encumbered space) = 870.59 Total preschool indoor space = 870.59 divided by 35 sq. ft. = 24 children There are seven (7) sinks and three (3) toilets available for the children. The classroom has four (4) tables, 24 mats, twenty five (25) chairs, and 16 cubbies. There is a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher (last serviced: 07/25/2024), functioning carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. Drinking water will be provided to the children via water dispenser. LPA & LPM observed toys and equipment that is age appropriate and safe for day care children. There is a staff bathroom located in the main building. The sick children will be isolated in the office area located in the main building. The sick children will use the staff bathroom if needed and will be accompanied by a staff member. The facility offers a half day and full day program and serves morning/afternoon snacks and children will bring lunch from home. The playground surrounded with fence more then four (4) feet. Shade is provided by trees and canopies. There are climbing structures in the yard with resilient material under and around the structures. No bodies of water were observed. Drinking water outdoor is via water dispenser and drinking fountain. Continuation on next page: Fire clearance for 24 children was approved by Central Fire District on January 24, 2025. Exit interview conducted and the report was reviewed with Program Director, Patricia Pastor. A licensed for 24 children was granted approval by Licensing Program Manager during visit.
