On March 27, 2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Darnella Barnes conducted an unannounced annual inspection. The purpose was explained to the licensee, who granted access. and received the Entrance Checklist (LIC 126). The facility operates Monday through Friday 6:00am-6:00pm.. Required postings were visible, and the last fire/disaster drill was on 10/9/24, The licensee was reminded of the six-month drill and documentation requirement. At the inspection, Licensee and two assistants were present. Licensee was reminded of capacity and ratio rules, supervision requirements, reporting obligations, and that children\342\200\231s rights cannot be waived. All adults 18 and older associated with the facility, including residents and volunteers, have fingerprint clearances. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Childcare Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. A child showing signs of illness should be separated until the cause is determined. If contagious, they must remain apart until no longer infectious or picked up by a parent, . PAGE 2 LPA toured the facility, indoor off-limit areas included kitchen three bedrooms, one bathroom and dining room. The home was clean, well ventilated, and stocked with safe, age-appropriate toys. A fully charged 3A-40B-C fire extinguisher (last serviced 2/25/25) was present, along with working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and an operating telephone. Hazardous items, including poisonous detergents, cleaning compounds, and medicines were stored out of children\342\200\231s reach. Smoking, baby walkers, bouncers, jumpers, and similar items are not allowed. Outdoor off limit areas include from patio door facing outward 50% of yard on right side. Outdoor play area is fenced and is filled with age-appropriate toys for the children, manipulative toys, blocks puzzles, balls, sand table and play tables. The licensee was reminded to notify licensing before making any changes to the house or yard. Licensee CPR/First Aid expires 4/6/26 with mandatory training expiring 4/5/2026. The assistant(1) CPR/First Aid expires 4/22/25 with mandatory training expiring 8/31//26 and Assistant (2) CPR/First Aid expires 4/22/25 with mandatory training expiring 5/12/26 . The preventive health certification is on file. LPA reminded the licensee of the two-year renewal requirement. The facility roster and one child\342\200\231s file was reviewed, confirming all required forms were complete, licensee has daycare insurance coverage. Safe Sleep Information was provided, and licensee was reminded that an Individual Infant Sleeping Plan (LIC 9227) is a required for each infant up to 12 months old, with nap checks documented until age two. Cribs and play yards must be free of loose items, bumper pads, and hanging objects and mattresses must be firm, properly fitted, and have fitted sheets. PAGE 3 LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Licensee was reminded Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platforms. To receive important licensed related information to licensed facilities, inspection the CCLD Important Information website at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/community-care- licensing/subscribe and select the Child Care option to receive email communication. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02- CCP . When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. FINAL PAGE During the exit interview, the Licensee confirmed no Registered Sex Offenders reside at the facility. The LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS on 3/3/25 . A search of the California Attorney General-Megan\342\200\231s Law website found no registered sex offenders at the facility address. No deficiency issued during today's inspection.
