What the inspector wrote

The following type B deficiency were cited on the attached page (809-D). Licensee was informed that failure to correct the deficiency by the specified Plan of Correction (POC) Due Date may result in assessment of civil penalties in the amount of $100 per day per violation until the correction is made. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.

    OPERATION OF A FAMILY CHILD CARE HOME

    The licensee shall be present in the home and shall ensure that children in care are supervised at all times. When circumstances require the licensee to be temporarily absent from the home, the licensee shall arrange for a substitute adult to care for and supervise the children during his/her absence. Temporary absences shall not exceed 20 percent of the hours that the facility is providing care per day. This requirement was not met as evidenced by Licensee was not present in the home and was away for more than an hour which is more than 20 percent of day care hours. This poses a potential risk Health, Safety Personal Rights risk to children in care.
