What Happened
Licensee-initiated capacity-increase inspection found the home operating with three children while the licensee was hospitalized and the assistant was present. The visit confirmed the home had working fire safety equipment and secure outdoor space, but the assistant file was missing required forms and the fire marshal approval was being used to support the capacity request.
Observations
- Assistant Jessica Ruvalcaba was missing LIC 508 and LIC 9052.
- Fire Marshal approval was granted for the large family child care home capacity increase.

The licensee and other personnel as specified shall complete training on preventive health practices, including pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation and pediatric first aid, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 1596.866.
