What the inspector wrote

On 9/29/23 at 9:20am, an [annual] inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), N. Cunningham. This program operates 7am-6pm, Monday\342\200\223Friday. The facility was toured at 10:15am inside and outside and the floor and yard plan submitted by the licensee were verified. Facility operates in room numbers P10, P11 and they yellow house on the Grant Elementary School Campus. Facility representatives were supervising 26 children, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. There are no pools or bodies of water on the premises. The outdoor activity space was cushioned and free of hazards. Six children's records were reviewed at 11:00. Twelve staff records were reviewed at 11:30am. The following deficiencies are being cited (see LIC 809D). A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. CCC COMPLETED TESTING AND IS IN THE PROCESS OF REMEDIATING LEAD EXCEEDANCES. LPA referred facility representative to the Department website for lead: https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/water-testing-information LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with facility representative and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee [or facility representative] of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPA reviewed storage of \342\200\234medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee facility representative.
