Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

The facility inspection was conducted via video due to the current state of emergency regarding the COVID-19 outbreak. On 7/30/21 at10:30am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Snow conducted an unannounced complaint inspection and met with director Kristen Walsworth. It was alleged that the facility has pests; specifically, cockroaches observed in the classroom garbage can. The Kristen Walsworth 10:45am and stated that she has observed cockroaches in the facility on and off during the past 2 months. They have a regular pest company that sprays monthly and cockroaches are included in the service. She said they have received one treatment and plan to schedule more. The LPA searched several garbage cans in the facility rooms and kitchen and did not observe any roaches. The LPA did not see any signs of roaches where the food is stored. Kristen Walsworth provided proof of a cockroach ‘cleanout’ on July 10, 2021 and agreed to send proof of two more (recommended by the pest company) within the next 30 days. Because the issue is being properly addressed the allegation is unsubstantiated. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted. The Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 days.
