Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Five Parents (P1 -P5) were interviewed on 05/18/26 and P1 – P3 had no knowledge of the allegation stating that they had not observed any children being unsupervised in the back hallway area, observed any children in the staff bathroom or observed children in the incorrect classroom. P3 did state that once at pick up P3 observed a child in the hallway alone but was not sure if the child’s parent was on site with the child and could not confirm if the child was under the supervision of staff or their parent. P4 – P5 confirmed the allegation stating that they had observed the children unsupervised in the back hallway area. P4 stated that when P4 would pick up their child from the facility P4 would have to go find their child and that the child would be in the hallway or infant classroom unsupervised. P5 stated that P5 has observed children alone in the hallway and P5 observed children napping on cots in the hallway without the supervision of staff. P5 stated that the staff would be sitting up front at the desk and could not see the children that were napping in the hallway Two children (C1-C2) were interviewed on 03/10/26 and had no knowledge of the allegation stating that C1 and C2 are never alone and that they always have a teacher with them. On 3/10/26, 05/06/26, and 05/21/26 the facility was toured and LPA Sims did not observe any children left unsupervised. LPA did not observe any children attempting to go into the hallway, staff bathroom, or other classroom alone. During the investigation interviews were conducted with staff, parents and children and LPA observed the facility. The findings did not support the allegation. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee Stephanie Horst. Appeal rights were provided and notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
