Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Four children were interviewed on 3/20/25 and stated kids go to timeout when they get in trouble. Four out of four children did not disclose staff encouraging children to hurt children or staff threatening children. Four out of four children reported eating at the facility but did not provide details about the food. Three witnesses were interviewed on 3/17, 4/14 and 4/15 and reported observing a chaotic classroom but did not provide corroborating information regarding the allegations reported. Three out of three witnesses stated they did not observe staff serve food to children in care. Three parents were interviewed on 3/20, 4/21 and 4/22 and stated positive comments about how the staff interact with the children. One parent expressed concern for the number of children staff were supervising but did not provide further details. During today’s inspection, the facility was toured and LPA observed three staff supervising 21 children in care. LPA did not observe a staff member act inappropriately. On 3/12/25, LPA observed and photographed fresh produce in the kitchen. LPA did not observed mold on fruit or other food. On 3/20/25 and 5/14/25, LPA toured the kitchen and did not observe moldy food or expired food. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee Patricia Roberts. Licensee rights were provided. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
