What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cunningham conducted an unannounced visit and met with director, L. O’Neal. During today’s visit LPA Cunningham shared that a parent (P1) reported they observed a teacher appear distracted while supervising a group of children because they were vacuuming. LPA advised that a teacher shall not be counted in ratios when they are required to clean the facility. LPA shared regulation 101216.3(g) which states a teacher shall not be required to perform housekeeping or maintenance duties that prevent him/her from performing duties related to providing care and supervision to children. See LIC9102 Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the director. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
