On September 11, 2023 at 3:30 pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cunningham conducted an unannounced complaint inspection, and met with director, Lisa O’Neal. It was alleged that a child (C1) hurts other children, and the facility is operating out of ratio. The director and three staff (S1, S3, and S5) were interviewed on 6/29/23, 7/14/23, 9/5/23, and 9/6/23. The director stated that staff are trained to redirect a child if a child appears they are going to hurt another child. The director also reported that she ensures each classroom operates within ratio. Three parents (P1, P2 and P4) were interviewed on 9/1/23. Interviews with staff and parents did not provide corroborating information. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
