Licensing Program Analyst, Selena Mariani met with the Facility Representative, Yesenia Jimenez to conducted a case management visit. Administrator, Erica Dudley , requested preschool classroom #17 to be moved to preschool classroom #19. The facility is located on the Robert Semple Elementary School campus and childcare services will no longer be provided in classroom #17. The fire clearance was granted on 05/15/2026 by the Benicia Fire Department. LPA toured and measured the on-limits areas and classroom located at the facility. Preschool Classroom measurements are: The indoor total measurements contain a total of 1655.88 square feet square feet, which will accommodate applicant’s request for 21 preschool children. Preschool Outdoor Play measurements are: Outdoor total measurements contain a total of 1846.50 square feet, which will accommodate applicant’s request for 21 preschool children. This square footage accommodate 21 children in care. Furniture and equipment were observed to be maintained in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All materials and surfaces accessible to children, including toys, shall be free of toxic substances. All play equipment and materials used by children were observed to be age appropriate. Tables and chairs were observed to meet the needs of the children. There are 2 toilets and 2 sinks available for preschool children. Staff bathrooms are located separate from room #19 on the school campus. Continue on LIC809-C Page 2 Continued from LIC809 LPA observed the facility has fully fenced outdoor playground. Outdoor areas were free of hazards including, holes, broken glass dry grasses, and other debris that pose a fire hazard. Any construction or equipment that could pose a hazard in the outdoor activity areas shall be made inaccessible to children in care. Shade was provided by trees. The playground and classrooms are enclosed by fencing at least 4 feet high with temporary fencing. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. Facility Representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Report was reviewed and provided to Facility Representative, Yesenia Jimenez. Notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. for 30 days. Appeal rights were provided. This facility is approved to use room #19 to provide care and supervision to 21 children.
