Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Facility Administrator denied engaging in a verbal altercation in the presence of children. Facility Administrator stated Parent #1 became upset after being contacted requesting that she not bring her dog back to the facility after a child in care picked up dog feces with his bare hand. Facility Administrator said Parent #1 returned to the facility to discuss the incident, however, denied that the conversation was heard by children in the classrooms or it becoming a verbal altercation. Staff #1 - #7 interviewed on 10/25/2023 between 10:35am and 12:44pm denied the allegation and stated through windows from inside the classrooms they observed the facility administrator and Parent #1 who was holding her child in a conversation but were unable to hear what was being said. Staff #1 - #7 stated sound machines and music playing prevent sounds from outside being heard inside the classrooms. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with Director Ashleigh Owens. Appeal rights were provided, and a Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
