Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

L1 stated that the living room, kitchen/dining area, downstairs bathroom and backyard are the only areas of the home that are used for child care. During record review and LPA observations it was confirmed that the areas of the home that are on-limits are as stated by L1. C1 and C2 stated that they are never left alone while in care and feel safe at the facility. Interviews conducted with parents (P1-P4, P6, P7) did not reveal any concerns about the supervision of their children at the facility. The parents stated they have seen the living room, kitchen/dining area, downstairs bathroom and backyard being used for day care, no other room or areas were mentioned. Based on the information gathered during this investigation, although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the allegation occurred and therefore is determined to be unsubstantiated. There were no Title 22 deficiencies cited. This report was reviewed and discussed with the facility’s Licensee, Pamela Melders. Appeal rights were provided.
