Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Staff corroborated the statement, reporting the licensee is present in the home every day for the day care. S1 reported when the licensee is gone it is never for more than two hours, usually only one hour or so. S1 also reported there was an occasion where a guardian arrived to pick their child and licensee was in the kitchen where the guardian didn\342\200\231t see her. There have also been instances where children are picked up early in the afternoon and licensee is out conducting pick ups so guardians won\342\200\231t see her present in the day care. S2 reported licensee is typically gone for one hour, but never more than one hour and forty-five minutes, on days she has personal appointments. Guardians\342\200\231 interviews revealed the licensee conducts school drop offs and pick-ups during the school year, and is present in the home all day while their children are in her care during the summer, except when she has personal appointments or when she is closed which licensee notifies via bright wheel app. G1, G2, and G5 interviews revealed when they go pick up their children other staff will hand off their child, but they see licensee in the back ground with other children, or can hear her in the kitchen area with other children. G1 and G5 also reported licensee is present in the home because she sends out regular updates, and pictures of their children through the bright wheel app at random times through out the day. G3 and G4 reported licensee will send out a message via bright wheel when she has personal appointments, usually the message will say licensee is going to be leaving at 4 or 5 pm and which staff will be present at guardian pick up. Children interviews revealed licensee will leave the day care to go camping, but the day care is closed when she is gone. A few children reported licensee will take them to appointments but they get back to the day care before lunch. Based on interviews conducted and records reviewed, although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred, therefore the allegation is Unsubstantiated. This report was reviewed and discussed with the licensee, she was provided with a copy of this CIR; and Appeal Rights. All licensing reports are public information and must be made available upon request for at least three years. There were no Title 22 deficiencies cited during today\342\200\231s inspection.
