Licensing Program Analysts (Glenn Ouye and Jaelyn Agbayani) met with Director Amanda Verbis to conduct a capacity increase case management visit. The application for the capacity increase from 75 preschoolers to 95 preschoolers was received by the department on November 1, 2024. The approved fire clearance was received on December 13, 2024. LPA's measured the indoor activity space of four classrooms which equate to 4335 square feet. This exceeds the minimum square footage required per child for 95 children. There are nine toilets/urinals and nine sinks for the preschool age children to use. All rooms have fire sprinklers and functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers. The capacity increase to 95 preschool children is approved effective December 20, 2024. A new license which reflects the new capacity will be sent to the facility director. No deficiencies cited during the inspection.
