Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

An unannounced complaint investigation visit was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Mindy Mohr to investigate the allegation filed against the facility. LPA met with Director Alexandria Bowers today to discuss the allegation. LPA conducted staff interviews (S1, S3-S7) and children’s interviews (C1-C5). D1 stated they have used the front parking lot as an area for children to play, but not often. D1 further stated she did not know they could not use it as an area to play, and will no longer have the children out there. Children and staff interviews all corroborated D1’s statement that the facility has used the front parking lot as an outdoor play area. LPA observed the front parking lot to be open and not fenced in protecting the children, keeping them in the outdoor area. Based on the investigation, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met. Therefore, the above allegation is found to be substantiated. The following violations of the Health and Safety Code section 1596.895; see LIC 9099D. Appeal rights were provided. Exit interview was conducted, and report reviewed with Director Alexandria Bowers. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
