Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 12/05/2025 at 09:00PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Sebastian Phouthavong and Jessica Gaumann arrived to conduct a change of location pre licensing inspection. An application was received to the department on 11/17/2025 for the change of location. An approved fire clearance was conducted 12/02/2025. Services will be available Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM. The licensee understands that 24hr consecutive care is prohibited. There are currently two adults living in the home. During the inspection the home was toured inside and outside. The floor plan submitted by the licensee was reviewed and verified. The children will have access to the 1st floor of the home including the living room, kitchen and hallway bathroom. The off-limits areas include the the garage, backyard, two bedrooms and entire 2nd floor. The off-limits areas of the home were made inaccessible by door locks, plastic doorknob covers and/or child gates. The sharp knives, cleaning supplies, medicines, will be stored out of the reach of children. There were no firearms and ammunition in the home at the time of this inspection. Licensee states that poisons are not stored on the premises. The regulation that poisons are to be locked using a key or combination lock was reviewed. First Aid supplies will be maintained at the facility. The children in care will have access to age-appropriate toys and equipment. The home is equipped with a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher rated at least 2-A 10:BC. There is no spa, pool, pond, or fountain on the premises, and Applicant confirmed that no bodies of water is on the premise. None shall be added without prior approval from the Licensing agency. The facility is approved for licensure effective today, 12/05/2025. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee, Aileen Bruce
