What Happened
Licensee-initiated case management visit to discuss waiver for two-year-olds from preschool room to share larger infant yard on rotational schedule. Outdoor area measurements completed; playground equipment in preschool yard found in disrepair with rusted metal surfaces and rough areas.
Observations
- Outdoor preschool yard measured: 6,405 square feet
- Infant yards measured: 2,889 square feet total (2,582.30 in larger infant yard)
- Capacity Worksheet completed for outdoor areas
- Playground climber lower stairs: protective coating missing, metal surface rusted and exposed
- Playground climber upper stairs: same rust issue observed
- Spiral slide: rough areas at top
- Violation of California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12 cited (see LIC 809D)
