Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Glenn Ouye met with the director Alex Pepper to determine if the facility can be licensed for 40 infants. LPA Ouye measured three class rooms and the outdoor activity area. The Infant A room, the Infant B/Toddler A room and the Toddler B/C room. The facility uses the term toddler to describe a child that is between 12 to 24 months and an infant is described as a child up to 12 months or still crawling. The square footage in the three rooms is sufficient to support a capacity increase of 40 children. The outdoor area's activity area supports a capacity of 20 children. LPA Ouye informed the director that a waiver for a rotational outdoor use with a maximum of 20 infants would be necessary. The applicant is submitting a capacity increase application. Upon receipt of the application, an approved fire clearance and an approved outdoor rotation waiver with a 20 infant maximum, the facility will be able to be licensed for up to 40 infants. No deficiencies during visit.
