Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

An unannounced case management visit was conducted at the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Y. Yang at the request of the licensee to inspect and approve a newly constructed above-ground pool. The pool is located in an off-limits area of the facility's backyard that is fully gated and inaccessible to daycare children. During the inspection, the LPA observed that the above-ground pool is surrounded by a vinyl fence, which increases the total height to over 60 inches from the ground. The fence is securely bolted to the pool frame. Additionally, the LPA noted the presence of a gated pool ladder that is securely attached to the pool's frame. Title 22 regulations pertaining to both above-ground and in-ground pools and other bodies of water were provided to the licensee. The licensee confirmed that daycare children will not have access the pool. The licensee also has an above-ground hot tub with a locked hard cover in the same area, which had previously been inspected and approved by the Department. The newly installed above-ground pool has been inspected and approved by the LPA effective today's date. An updated exterior LIC999 sketch will be submitted to the Department. A notice of site visit was issued and must remain posted for 30 days. An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with the licensee, Jennifer Hansen. No Title 22 deficiencies were cited during today's inspection.
