Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Glenn Ouye met with Program Director Amy McIntyre for a capacity increase of the existing center. The program is adding one additional classroom, AB3 to the program. AB1 and AB2 were in use. LPA measured the interior and exterior square footage of the building. The fire inspector has required two items to be added before the clearance is approved. This room has adequate square footage for 21 additional children. The classroom has a total of 3 sinks and 2 toilets. There is a functional smoke and carbon. There are sufficient, desks, chairs, equipment and toys for the children in care. The entire outdoor activity space was measured and is sufficient for 168 children. There are also sufficient outdoor toys and equipment for the children. Upon receipt of the approved fire clearance, the facility will be approved for 69 preschool age children.
