What the inspector wrote

Based on the information obtained and interview conducted, the preponderance of evidence has been met, that Licensee did not prevent day care children from being bitten by fleas while in care. Therefore, this allegation is SUBSTANTIATED. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1 of the California Code of Regulations, the following deficiency Type B is being cited: (see next page LIC-9099D). Site Supervisor Calletana Felix was provided with a copy of appeal rights. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Site Supervisor. This report shall be made available to the public upon request. LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit is provided and required to be posted for 30 days.

This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Based on interviews, it was revealed that staff allowed outdoor activities during periods of flea infestation. This violation of personal rights poses a potential risk to the health, safety, and personal rights of children in care.
