Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 05/30/2023 at 1:05pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Anita Tristan met with Site Supervisor Kara Reynolds for an unannounced case management inspection. LPA toured the facility, and a census was taken there were 15 children in care (6) pre-school and (3) infants and (6) toddlers. An Unusual Incident Report was submitted to the Fresno Community Care Licensing Office (CCL) regarding an incident that occurred on 2/7/2023, where child #1 was hugging on child #2 and being "touchy." Teacher told child #1 to stop and keep hands to self. Teacher had asked child #1 why he was being close on child #2, child #1 responded "I saw it on YouTube one time dummy." LPA interviewed Preschool Teacher #1 who stated she spoke with both children regarding the incident reminded them to keep hands to themselves and also spoke to both parents of each child. Both parents stated they would speak to their child regarding the incident and there were no other issues or concerns. Based on the information obtained, this appears to be an isolated incident and Licensee took appropriate measures to address the incident and followed appropriate reporting requirements. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited. Exit interview conducted with Site Supervisor Kara Reynolds and a Notice of Site Visit to be posted for 30 days.
