What the inspector wrote

On 09/15/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Pa Kou Vue conducted an unannounced case management inspection at facility. LPA met with Director Mary Gonzalez who accompanied LPA during a tour of facility both inside and outside. LPA explained the purpose for the inspection. An incident was reported to Child Care Licensing Regional Office on 08/18/2023 from Assistant Preschool Director Christine Cardoso regarding inadequate supervision. Based on staff interviews, it was confirmed there was inadequate supervision. Child was unsupervised for an unknown amount of time from the time child left classroom to when child was noticed outside by an administrative. In addition, it was stated that the child was never left unsupervised as there were staff members outside the entire time the child was outside. Although there were staff members outside, the staff members are not part of the Preschool Program. The center will conduct on-going staff training discussing responsibility providing care and supervision. Per the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, the following deficiency is being cited during today\342\200\231s inspection. (See next page, LIC809-D). Upon receipt of a Type A violation, licensees shall post and provide copies of this licensing report to parents/guardians of children in care at the facility and to parents/guardians of children newly enrolled at the facility during the next 12 months. A copy of the Fact Sheet-Child Care Parent Notification Requirements and a copy of LIC 9224 was given to Director. Director Mary Gonzalez was provi ded a copy of appeal rights. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director.
