Facility-requested visit·August 10, 2022

On August 10, 2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) C Brannon conducted an announced prelicensing inspection and met with Co-Ordinator of Early Childhood Program, Teresa Reyna. The purpose of today\342\200\231s inspection is regarding licensee, Patterson Joint Unified School District, has requested an increase in capacity. Previous inspection on August 2, 2022, LPA observed and notated items to be corrected before granting the increase in capacity from 68 to 133 preschool children, ages 2 to 6 years old. Classroom #1 1) Anchor (3) shelving units or make them secured that they will not tip over. Has been corrected. 2) Clear off clutter on counter. Has been corrected. 3) Anchor bookshelf. Has been corrected. Classroom #2 1) Remove changing table from bathroom. Has been corrected. 2) Anchor shelving units. Has been corrected. 3) Anchor bookshelf. Has been corrected. Classroom #3 1) Anchor shelving units. Has been corrected. 2) Anchor bookshelf. Has been corrected. Classroom #5 1) There is one shelving unit on wheels to be removed or anchored. Is anchored and been corrected. 2) Anchor play kitchen. Has been corrected. Outside Play Area #1: 1) Remove red cones. Has been corrected. 2) Remove tricycles with missing rubber grip handlebar covers. Tricycles have been removed. 3) Fill in the cement holes. Has been corrected. 4) Repair cracked exterior stucco areas. Has been corrected. Outside Play Area #2: 1) Remove tricycles with missing rubber grip handlebar covers. Tricycles have been removed. 2) Fill in the cement holes by basketball hoop and in cement areas. Has been corrected. 3) Remove dead bugs and spider webs. Has been corrected. A fire clearance of 144 preschool children was approved and granted by the Patterson Fire Department on 6/29/22. However, inside square footage will allow for 133 preschool children. Waiting for the updated fire clearance to reflect the granted fire clearance for 133 preschool children. This facility can start providing care to the 133 preschool children. As per licensee\342\200\231s request, Walnut Acres Preschool (Facility #503808898) license will be closed with an effective date of 8/11/22. CONTINUED ON FOLLOWING PAGE During today's inspection, LPA reviewed with Teresa Reyna, the requirement of Lead Testing and provided the following forms: LIC 9276 - Child Care Center Sampling Checklist Form and LIC 9275 - External Water Sampler Self-Certification Form. Pending a final file review, a recommendation will be made to license the above facility for the requested capacity of 133 preschool children. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with coordinator of Early Childhood Program, Teresa Reyna. A COPY OF THIS REPORT IS TO REMAIN IN THE FACILITY FOR PUBLIC REVIEW.
