Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 08/12/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) David Rocha conducted an unannounced Case Management - Plan of Correction (POC) inspection. LPA was met by Licensee Melissa Designori. Also present was licensee’s assistant. LPA toured the facility indoors and outdoors and a census was taken. The purpose of today’s inspection was to verify that the deficiencies issued during the annual inspection on 08/06/2025 has been corrected. LPA observed in the backyard there is an in-ground swimming pool that is made inaccessible and has the following: ASTM F2286 Mesh fence with a height of 60”, self-closing gate with a self-latching, and a key lockable device with a height of 60”. The following items that were missing have now been corrected: ASTM F2208 swimming pool alarm that is functioning, a United State Coast Guard (USCG) over 17" life ring, a 12’ rescue hook, and a daily swimming pool inspection log that has current documentation by the licensee. The in-ground swimming pool meets The Health and Safety Code requirements included in Section 1596.814. LPA advised Licensee to keep a swimming pool file with all her receipts and ASTM approved certifications. Licensee stated she understood her responsibilities to conduct daily checks on her swimming pool inspection log. Licensee’s POCs for the Annual Random inspection on 08/06/2025 has been cleared. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited. POC was cleared and a letter of deficiency citation was given to the licensee. (Continued on 809-C) Licensee was provided appeal rights. This report shall be made available to the public upon request.
