On 12/11/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeovanna Yanez conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection. LPA met with Licensee, Saidy Valenzuela, and explained the purpose of today\342\200\231s inspection. LPA was accompanied by Licensee, toured the home and backyard, and a census was taken. The purpose of today's inspection is to verify that the following corrections requested on 11/24/2025 were made, with regard to the in-ground swimming pool located in the backyard, and verify compliance the requirements outlined in Assembly Bill (AB) 2866. The pool alarm was tested during the inspection and LPA observed the pool alarm is now functioning properly, which is compliant with ASTM International Standard F2208. LPA also observed the in-ground pool is now fully enclosed and surrounded with five (5) foot wrought iron fencing. The gate is self-latching/self-closing, swings away from the pool and locking device is located no lower than 60 inches from the bottom of the gate. The maximum vertical clearance was measured less than 2 inches all around. There is a life ring with US Coast Guard Approval that has an exterior diameter measured at 20 inches, and a rescue pole with a body hook that measured over 12 feet. The in-ground pool now meets Title 22 regulations. The home meets the description of a safe and healthy environment for children as described in Chapter 3, Division 12, Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations and is adequate for a Large Family Day Care Home (LFDCH). Licensure as a Large Family Day Care Home capacity of 14 children will be recommended effective 12/12/2025. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee.
