What the inspector wrote

On 10/29/21 at 1:30pm, an annual inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Mendez. At [time] the home was toured inside and outside. The licensee was supervising four children, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. The facility\342\200\231s operating hours are 4:30am-4:30pm Monday\342\200\223Friday. The floor plan submitted by the licensee was reviewed and verified. The off-limits areas of the home are the inside of the home. Licensee has a daycare room and bathroom is accessible to children. Children eat lunch in the kitchen supervised by licensee. The children are currently not using the using the front yard or the backyard. Six children's records were reviewed at 1:35pm. One staff records were reviewed at 1:45pm. LPA Mendez reviewed licensee's CPR/First Aid is current and expires on 3/2023 and Mandated Reporter Training expires on 11/2022. There is currently one adult living in the home. The Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. (809C continued) LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee [or facility representative] and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee [facility representative] of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. No children currently have an IMS plan There were no deficiencies cited during today\342\200\231s inspection. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee [or facility representative] (include name).
