What the inspector wrote

A case management inspection was conducted today at 1:00pm by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Laura Chavez. LPA met with licensee Laura Castillo. The inspection is made in response to the licensee's request to include the addition of a playroom/bedroom recently constructed to the home. An approved fire inspection was received on 8/15/2025. The facility operates 5:00am - 10:00pm, Monday - Friday. The residence is a 4 bedroom/2 bath single story home which sits on 2 acres. Currently 2 adults and 4 minors live in the home. The home and yard were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: 4 bedrooms, including the master bathroom. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of locks and doorknob covers. Poisons are locked in a newly installed shop located on the property. The home is equipped with a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and fire extinguisher rated at least 2A10BC. The children use the backyard as the outdoor play area.The backyard is not completely fenced. The licensee understands that constant visual supervision is required while children are in the outdoor play area. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises. An exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee Laura Castillo. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. The addition to the home has been approved for use of the care of children.
