What the inspector wrote

A case management inspection was conducted today at 11:05am by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Laura Chavez. LPA met with licensee Ana Romero. The inspection is made in response to the licensee's request for an increase in capacity to 14. An approved fire inspection was received on 8/14/2025. The facility will operate 5:00am -5:00pm, Monday - Friday. The residence is a 3 bedroom/2 bath single story home. Currently 2 adults and 4 minors live in the home. The home and yard were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: 3 bedrooms, including the master bathroom. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of locks and lever handle locks. Two thirds of the garage has been converted into a play room. Poisons are locked in a shed located in the backyard. The home is equipped with a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and fire extinguisher rated at least 2A10BC. The children use the backyard as the outdoor play area. The backyard is completely fenced. A trampoline is located in the outdoor play area. The zipper on the safety net which surrounds the trampoline is broken and 2 of the 6 posts that hold the net are either broken or out of place. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee Ana Romero, a plan of correction was discussed. Appeal Rights were provided. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. The following items need to be completed prior granting the increase in capacity. 1. Proof making the trampoline off limits to children or repair or replacement of the safety net surrounding the trampoline. 2. Proof of making the trampoline off limits or repairing or replacing the posts which hold up the safety net on the trampoline.
