What the inspector wrote

On November 12, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Valentin Hernandez and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Cynthia Brannon conducted an unannounced Case Management-Licensee Initiated inspection. LPA Hernandez and LPM Brannon met with Director Jamie Valdez. Director Jamie Valdez is requesting to be licensed for 104 preschoolers ages 2-6 years old in classrooms 1- 4. Days and hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:15am-5:45pm year-round. The facility has 4 classrooms: classroom 1, classroom 2, classroom 3 and classroom 4. All indoor activity spaces utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA Hernandez informed Director Jamie Valdez that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities. All required licensing documents were observed posted on the parent\342\200\231s board at the entrance. LPA Hernandez and LPM Brannon continued to tour the facility and measured all indoor space. The measurements taken during today\342\200\231s inspection do not match the previous inspection for capacity of 104. Measurements were taken and reviewed with Director Jamie Valdez, 3115, which allows for 89 preschool children. The hallway is not a licensed area. There are two children\342\200\231s restrooms in the hallway. There is a child size table with child size chairs. Staff escort the children to the restrooms. While waiting for their turn, the children will sit at the table. When the children are done using the restroom, staff will escort the children back to their classroom. The hallway is only to be used when the children are using the restroom. Due to the change in square footage, licensee will provide an updated application with the new capacity of 89 preschool children, no later than December 19, 2025. Continued on LIC 809C LPA Hernandez observed a total of 9 sinks, 11 toilets and 1 urinal available for children\342\200\231s use. Staff utilize the bathroom located in the director\342\200\231s office. Ill children will be isolated in the director\342\200\231s office and use the bathroom located there. Director Jamie Valdez was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Director Jamie Valdez was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platforms. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Jamie Valdez. No citations were issued during today\342\200\231s inspection. This report shall be made available to the public upon request. LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit is provided and required to be posted for 30 days.
