Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 04/21/2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Sonja Navarrette and Octavia Nolan conducted an unannounced licensee-initiated case management inspection. LPAs met with licensee Sonya Beavers. A census was taken, and LPA toured the facility inside and out. The purpose for the inspection was to approve the backyard for children\342\200\231s use. The Licensee reported on 11/08/2024 that she would be having construction done in the backyard. The backyard has been off limits since July 2024. Licensee contacted Licensed Program Manager (LPM) on 11/19/24 to report the work was not completed and requested an extension. During today\342\200\231s inspection, LPAs inspected the backyard play area and observed a newly constructed granite kitchen with stainless steel drawers and fixtures. The drawers and cabinets are secure with child safety devices and the bar-b-que grill is covered. LPAs observed safe toys, plastic child cars, and several playhouses. There is a locked shed on the North side of the home. LPA did not observe immediate nor potential risk to children. LPA APPROVES the area. LPA obtained a new facility sketch which included the new dimensions of the outdoor play and kitchen area. Children can now use/play on the area effective immediately. Per Chapter 3, Division 12, Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations no deficiencies are observed today. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
