Application Specialist (AS) Alecia Sifuentes met with Licensee Representative/Director Brandy Hinkel for the purpose of a case management inspection. Licensee requests a room change. Licensee is not making any changes to the licensed capacity. The preschool program is located at Sierra Waldorf Elementary School. The program currently operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The fire clearance was granted and received on 8/25/2023. INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE: There are four preschool portables. Director stated that preschool portable named Moss Rose was removed and replaced with a new portable. AS used current measurements for preschool portables named Red Rose, White Rose, and Sweat Pea from report dated 6/30/2022. AS measured preschool portable Moss Rose. The total classroom space contains a total of 2,492 square feet, which will accommodate the current licensed capacity of 66 preschool children. There are seven toilets and nine sinks for the children. There is a separate private restroom for the staff located in the bathroom building. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024). Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Report continues on LIC809-C. Director was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, Brandy Hinkel. Effective today, 8/31/2023, AS will approve the room change.
