What the inspector wrote

On 05/23/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) German Negrete conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection at the above mentioned childcare center to ensure that health, safety, and personal rights as required by Title 22 and Health and Safety Regulations governing California Child Care Centers are being met. LPA met with Director Lynn Bordeaux. LPA and Director together toured the facility. There were 53 children and 12 staff providing care and supervision during the inspection. The facility operates Monday \342\200\223 Friday 07:30AM-4PM. This is a combination facility with an infant program and toddler component. The licensee applied to decrease capacity to 80 preschoolers ages 2 years through 5. LPA measured the on-limits areas and classrooms. The facility has a total of four classrooms, preschoolers utilize classrooms #105 and #106, classroom #107, and classroom #108. Children will have access to 6 sinks and 4 toilets 2 urinals. Parents / authorized representatives utilize written logs for signing in and out purposes. LPA observed preschool classrooms to contain age-appropriate toys and equipment, ample ventilation, sufficient number of cots for napping and resting. At the time of the inspection, LPA did not observe any toxins, poisons, or hazardous materials present, and LPA observed waste bins with tight fitting lids. The fire extinguisher was serviced on 5/05/2025, carbon monoxide detector was present at the time of the inspection, and f irst aid kits are available. Per center director, no firearms or ammunition are present on the property. continued on LIC809-C Total preschool rooms indoor space measures at 2,805.97sq. ft. which can accommodate licensee\342\200\231s request for 80 children. Total preschool outdoor measures 15132.84 sq. ft. which can accommodate licensee\342\200\231s request for 80 children. Fire clearance was approved on 04/ 09/ 2025. Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Report was reviewed with director Lynn Berdauex. New license will be pending manager review. Notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted in a prominent publicly accessible area of the center .
