Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

During both inspections, LPAs observed that the classrooms had enough space for the children in care. Children were able to move around freely and participate in activities without overcrowding. The fire clearance reviewed for the licensed capacity matched the number of children observed at the facility. No evidence was found to show that the indoor space was inadequate. In regard to hazardous items, LPAs toured all classrooms, bathrooms, storage areas, and the outdoor play space. Cleaning supplies, medications, and other potentially dangerous items were observed to be stored in cabinets with child safety locks or placed out of children\342\200\231s reach. Staff were observed actively supervising the children during both visits. No hazardous items were found to be accessible to the children during the inspections. Interviews with staff and parents did not provide evidence to support the allegations. Parents stated they felt the classrooms had enough room for their children and that they had not observed unsafe conditions at the facility. Based on LPA\342\200\231s observations, record review, and interviews, there was not enough evidence to support the allegations. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated. No deficiencies were cited for today. Notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Appeal Rights were provided, and the report was reviewed. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100 Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the director Debbie Blumenthal.
