What the inspector wrote

On 05/23/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) German Negrete conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection at the above aforementioned center to ensure that health, safety, and personal rights as required by Title 22 and Health and Safety Regulations governing California Child Care Centers will be met. There were 6 infants and 8 toddlers present and 8 staff present during this inspection. The licensee applied to increase capacity to 18 toddlers aged 18 months \342\200\223 36 months, and to retain capacity of 8 infants age 0 months to 24 months , for total requested capacity of 26 . The facility operates Monday \342\200\223 Friday 7:30AM \342\200\223 4PM. LPA met with director Lynn Bordeax and together toured the facility. LPA measured the on-limits areas and classroom. The facility utilizes 4 rooms for care (\342\200\234infants\342\200\235 Room #101, and room#102 and \342\200\234Toddlers\342\200\235 Room #103 and Room#104 . Facility maintains a total of 3 changing tables, 2 toilets and 4 sinks available for toddlers and infants to use. Parents/authorized representatives utilize paper sign in and out sheets for purposes of signing toddlers/infants in and out. LPA observed classroom to contained age-appropriate toys and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. LPA observed disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that could pose a danger inaccessible to children. Fire extinguisher was serviced on 05/05/2025, and carbon monoxide is present at the time of the inspection, and first aid kits available. Continued on LIC809-C Per licensee, no firearms or ammunition are present on property. Outdoor area consists of one play area for infants and one play area for toddlers. Both outdoor play areas are surrounded by permitter fencing, age-appropriate toys and equipment, include soft padding to absorbs falls, and sufficient shade. Per director, no bodies of water are present on the property. Facility play area at alternate times to avoid comingling which is to remain posted and adhered to at all times. Fire clearance was approved by Ventura City Fire on 04/09/2025 Toddler Rooms total capacity measures 2060.18 square feet which will accommodate licensee\342\200\231s request for 18 toddlers. The total outdoor play area measures 2862.10 sq. feet which will accommodate licensee\342\200\231s request for 18 toddlers. Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Exit interview conducted . Licensed will be pending manager review. A Notice of Site Visit was given to the director and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.
