What the inspector wrote

On April 9, 2024, at 12:05 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Laura Villanueva conducted an unannounced Case Management-Licensee Initiated visit. LPA met with director, Amy Vega and Assistant Director, Elizabeth Fox and discussed the purpose of the inspection. There were 25 children in care with 7 staff. The facility operates Monday \342\200\223 Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. On 09/18/2023, licensee applied to add a room to preschool. Ventura County Fire Department conducted an inspection on 12/08/2023 and cleared the room for childcare with no conditions or restrictions noted. The room is the Parish Life Center (PLC). LPA observed the room to be free of toxins or hazards. No bodies of water were present at the time of the inspection. The room will be used for napping and various activities. The main center classrooms are in 4 licensed rooms. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Length: 32 feet 3 inches X With:24 feet 5 inches= 768/35= 21.94 The classroom has a capacity for 21 children No deficiencies were cited during today\342\200\231s inspection. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Assistant Director, Elizabeth Fox. Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
