What the inspector wrote

On January 3, 2024, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Laura Villanueva and Veronica Diaz, conducted an unannounced Case Management-Licensee Initiated visit. LPAs met with director Michelle Gordon and discussed the purpose of the inspection. The facility operates Monday \342\200\223 Friday 7:00AM to 5:30PM. On 10/10/2023, licensee applied for a toddler option for the preschool program to provide care for 12 toddler children. Facility utilizes classrooms #1-4, #6-7 and wood room for a total of 7 rooms for preschool. Ventura County Fire Department conducted an inspection on 12/15/2023 and cleared the toddler room for childcare. LPAs observed ample sinks and toilets available to children. Outdoor area is contained by permitter fencings, and includes grass and sand to absorbs falls, age-appropriate toys and equipment, and ample shade. Filtered water and disposable cups are provided to children inside and outside. No bodies of water are present at the time of the inspection. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Indoor area measurements for preschool classrooms are as follows: Room 1: Length 29.9 ft X 21 ft Width =627.9 /35=17.94 Room 2: Length 29.9 ft X 21 ft Width=627.9/35=17.94 Room 3: Length 29.5 ft X 21 ft Width=619.5/35=17.94 Room 4: Length 29.5 ft X 21 ft Width=619.5/35=17.94 Wood room: Length 47.5 ft X 23.6 ft=1121/35=32.02 Room 6: Length 23.9 ft X 19.8 ft=473.22/35=13.272 Room 7: Length 23.7 ft X 19.6 ft=464.52/35=13.272 Total indoor capacity for preschool is 142 children Indoor area measurements for Toddler classroom is as follows: Crib room:29.5 ft X 20.10 ft=592.95/35=16.94 Total indoor opacity for toddler option is 16 children Outdoor preschool measurements are Length 97.3 ft X 135.8 ft Width=13213.34/75=176.17 Total preschool outdoor capacity is 176 children Outdoor toddler measurements are Length 68.7 ft X 31.7 ft Width=2177.79 ft/75=2177.79=29 03 Total toddler outdoor capacity is 29 children. No deficiencies were cited during today\342\200\231s inspection. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with director, Michelle Gordon. Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
